Deleting a collection?

How do I delete a collection in StarLifter? Is this different than hiding a collection?

Deleting a collection and hiding a collection are different, yes!

To delete a collection:

  1. Right click on the title of the collection in the collection ribbon
  2. Select “Drop” to delete this collection
  3. You will receive a warning message reminding you that this action cannot be undone.
  4. Select OK if you’d like to proceed with deleting the collection

To hide a collection:

  1. Right click on the collection title in the Collection Ribbon
  2. Select “Hide” from the dropdown

To restore a hidden collection:

  1. Right click on the down arrow (v) to the far right of the Collection Ribbon
  2. Select “Restore Hidden”
  3. Click the collection you’d like to restore.

From a best practice perspective, I would recommend almost always hiding a collection rather than deleting or dropping.
